What just happened?

Genre : Comedy

At an art gallery, two artists were competing neck-and-neck against one another to acclaim who was the ultimate mikado in the world of artistry. With almost equal accolades and praises, they finally cinched that with their final respective painting left for auctioning, the first one to get sold out of the two would be declared as the ideal artiste.

With hardly half an hour more left for the gallery to close, the artists were waiting anxiously to see who’ll win the bet; just then, a women and her almost ten year old son came and started their discussion on which painting to purchase.

After a tough time choosing between both the artist’s work, they finally went with the second one leaving the selected painter jumping like a psychotic polliwog in his head. Unknowingly placing him at the highest-caliber and labeling him as the unbeatable, the artist passed a sarcastic smile to his friend, and then, decided to go thank the mother-son pair to have chosen his work of art.

Noticing the mother having a conversation with the Art Gallery Manager, he went up to the boy and asked, “I guess you settled upon an autumn scene to a floral painting, did you?”

“No”, said the boy.

“Then is it the soothing color combination that appealed to you?, or the master strokes that I used with the different size brushes? See the muted tones over here, near the river, that alone took me four days to give the painting it’s final touch.”

“Well, honestly, I and mom liked the other painting with the floral design, but we chose yours because its wider, I guess it’ll be perfect to cover the three holes in our living room’s wall.”
