Godforsaken

fairy-wings-crying-desolate-black and white

There are days when even Fairies fail to surprise,

to swirl their wand and dazzle with delight.

There are days when even Fairies feel sorry,

wondering how useful is their wand if it cannot minify misery.

There are days when even Fairies are in vain,

to discover that the mortals below plundered their dreamland to a state of unalterable pain.

There will gleam a day when you will wriggle the Zion where Fairies are born,

the antithesis then shall be that they will have wings and you will have horns!

A very thoughtful piece. It has a very powerful ending and I’m still not sure what to think.

I know, the ending makes one ponder whether he should feel happy or accept the fact that this might be the truth when we reach Zion on our dooms day!
